Young Parents Group Information
WHERE? Redwoodtown Plunket Rooms
21 Bythell Street, Redwoodtown
WHEN? Wednesday morning from 10am until 12pm
WHAT? We are a group of enthusiastic parents who support each other through learning new skills, revisiting what we read a while ago, discovering new options and sharing what we have found useful for own children....this can range from slow cooker meals in the winter months to sun safety in the summer.
We go over topics like... Self care, changing habits, processing change, relationship balance, communication, returning to study and/or work, what is your parenting style, budgeting, growing your own food, where to call for advice, building confidence in your relationship with your child, time management, talking to your child, reading and playing with your children and why it is needed for their development.
Here are some comments from parents who attend the group:
" I enjoy coming to the group and socialising. It offers helpful information about support for babies and mums."
"I have really enjoyed this programme; it has helped me meet other mums and learn on the way. It has made a big difference to me - made me a better mum to my son."
"I enjoy coming to the group and socialising with other parents around my age. It (the programme) offers support and helpful information for growing young families."

If you would to come and join us, please let us know and we can talk about coming along to our group.
