AMAROA KATU - MYT Chairperson
​

Amaroa has worked in health for over 10 years, and is the Community Health Services Manager for the Marlborough Primary Health. Amaroa looks at initiatives to improve access to health services for youth and to identify and reduce any gaps to services.

RUSSELL SMITH -  MYT Trustee
​

Russell is the former the Chairperson of the Marlborough Youth Trust, who has stepped down yet still supporting our mahi.  He is the Blenheim Community Constable and has been a member of the NZ Police for over 30 years.  He is, and has been, a representative on over a dozen steering groups in Marlborough, including Safe and Sound at the Top which succeeded in obtaining the World Health Organisation Safe Community Accreditation for Marlborough.  Russell has a focus on community safety and a passion for working towards establishing holistic processes that link Marlborough youth providers and youth into youth development initiatives.

HELEN McLEAN - Trustee

Helen is a Health Promoter at Public Health Service, with a focus on young people and positive sexuality.   She provides information and resources to those who work with young people.  Helen initiated the Marlborough Colleges Peer Support program in 1996, where students learn health & service knowledge which they can pass onto their peers.​ Helen is a long time supporter of Rainbow Youth, and is keen to see that Marlborough supports all young people to reach their potential.  Helen & her husband enjoy country life and have 2 young people of their own.

MAXINE SWEENEY - Full Time Youth Worker

Maxine is a level 4 qualified youth worker and Whanau Ora navigator. She is passionate about positive youth development. Maxine's  super hero skill is peeling an onion layer faster than Shrek. Maxine had stepped into a youth workers role within Seddon Youth Community and built relationships with youth to connect them to opportunities, employment and fun.   Maxine's kindness and sense of humour builds rapport with everyone she meets.

​Kia ora MYT whānau, Ko Lottie tōku ingoa!
 
I am excited to be working as a part of the MYT whānau at MySpace, having recently returned home to Te Waiharakeke & Te Waipounamu.  I have been working as a qualified Level 3 Youth Worker for the past two and a half years in Papaioea (Palmerston North) and am thrilled to give  back to the community I was raised in.  Looking forward to connecting with you all!

Kia Ora, my name is Lee Tepuia and my iwi are Kaitahu and Ngapuhi.
 
I am the owner and founder of Box on Boxing Blenheim, and I am joining on as a qualified Level 3 Youth Worker and helping out with CACTUS, YEP and our after school programme.
 
My passion is to support rangatahi to be the best they can be and get them confident enough to connect into community. I aim to be the voice of our rangatahi in Marlborough to amplify their voices.

Aaron has been involved with the YOUTH IN EMERGENCY SERVICES PROGRAM (YES) for 5 years and brings wonderful skills and strengths that he shares with the Youth in Emergency Services program.  Aaron has been actively involved in Picton CACTUS.
